Jews of The Bible Test

A Short Informational Test for Western Christians

(Any Biblical reference is from the New American Standard Bible)

Most Western Christians, including most seminary, schooled pastors, will flunk this test about the jews of the Bible. Our hope and prayers are that this will be an eye-opener to begin correcting the distortions and lies that have compromised much of God's Truth in the churches across our nation.

Jews of the Bible Test Answers

Quote Answer #1:

a) Saint Paul. (1Thes 2: 14 - 15)

"....... the Jews who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out. They are not pleasing to God, but hostile to all men......"

Some people will try to argue that Paul is only referring to the Jews of that time period, but that cannot be accurate since this scripture also includes the prophets, and the last Old Testament prophet, Malachi, died approximately 450 years prior to when this was written.

Quote Answer #2:

a) Moses (referring to God). (Deuteronomy 6:15)

"... for the LORD your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth. "

In Deuteronomy 6, prior to, and after this verse, God laid out the conditions that would bring this about. The conditions were simple, follow God's commandments or He will wipe you off the face of the earth. Anyone who knows the Bible knows that the sons of Israel, from that time forward, repeatedly sinned and rejected God, with their final, and ultimate rebellion being the rejection and execution of God's Messiah Jesus. Therefore, beginning in A.D. 70, and ending in A.D.135, God wiped them off the face of the earth. No person, or persons, calling themselves and identifying as a Jew today, has any direct, traceable, lineage to ancient Israel. There are no traceable descendants of Biblical Jews alive today.

Moreover:

In 1 Kings 9: 6-9, generations after Deut. 6 was written, God again states that He will destroy Israel if the sons turn away from following Him; and of course, as we know, that is exactly what happened.

And again.

In 2 Kings 17: 20 it says: "And the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and gave them into the hand of plunderers, until He had cast them out of His sight."

Zechariah 7: 11-14. Vs. 14: "but I scattered them with a storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known...."

Romans 10:21 (Quoting Isaiah 65:2) "All the day long I have stretched out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people."

Hosea 1:4 "......I will put an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel." & Hosea 1:6 ...."I will no longer have compassion on the house of Israel that I should ever forgive her."

1 Samuel 12: 25 (referring to Israel and its first King Saul) "But if you still do wickedly, both you and your king will be swept away."

Wicked Israel WAS wiped off the face of the earth, and those who call themselves Jews today are not direct descendants of, and have no traceable connection to, Biblical Israel (see page 7 & page 8).

T & F Answers

1. T or F. Abraham, who is often called the Father of Jews, was the first Jew mentioned in the Bible.

False........ God only begins calling the people Jews near the end of the Old Testament era. Therefore, Abraham was dead long before God ever calls anyone a Jew.

The Biblical Jewish era began long after Abraham was dead. It began when the Hebrews, of southern kingdom of Judah, were in Babylonian captivity and ended in A.D. 70 when God destroyed the second Temple in Jerusalem. The time period of the book of Jeremiah (written sometime between 627 - 586 BC) is the turning point in the Bible where God stops calling the people Hebrews and begins calling them Jews. The last place the name Hebrew is used in the Old Testament is in Jeremiah 34:14; which is the same time period that God begins to use the name Jew (in Jeremiah 32:12). From that transition point onward, in the Old Testament scriptures, God no longer calls the people Hebrews, but are then called Jews. Chronologically this was near the end of the Old Testament Biblical era.

2. T or F. Moses, King David & King Solomon were three of the more notable Jews in the Bible.

False..... Moreover, NONE of these historical Biblical people, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, all of the Judges, Samuel, Saul, King David, Solomon, and most of the notable people in the Old Testament, were ever called or identified as Jews. God only begins using the name Jew long after they are all dead.

3. T or F. The name Jew can be found in all but seven of the thirty-nine Old Testament books.

False..... The name Jew, in plural or singular, can ONLY be found in seven or eight (depending on the translation) of the Old Testament books, which were all written near the end of the Old Testament era.

4. T or F. Mordecai, in the book of Esther, is the only person in the Old Testament who was ever directly called a Jew.

True..........Mordecai is the ONLY person in the entire Old Testament who is ever directly called a Jew.

There are numerous cases where groups of people are called Jews, but only one person was ever directly, and singularly, called a Jew, and that was Mordecai in the Book of Esther. The only other similar case is in the book of Daniel where Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego were called Jews, but they were only called that as part of a group.

5. T or F. The Bible clearly states that God will bless those who bless Israel.

False......... Nowhere in God's word does it say that "God will bless those who bless Israel." This concept comes from corrupting the verse where God said to Abram in Gen 12:3, "I will bless those who bless you and one who curses you I will curse...." But Abram was not an Israelite or a Jew. Furthermore, only God's seed (singular) is blessed, not seeds (Gal 3:16).

Moreover, has America become a more blessed nation, since 1948, when we erroneously began to unconditionally support (bless) Israel? (Some, or even much, of this may also apply to other Western nations)
To be brief:
* Is our educational system better than in 1948? ..... (God, the Bible, and prayer are no longer allowed in our schools!)
* Is America more financially solvent? ...... (Our national debt has risen to trillions!)
* Have our information news organizations become more honest and factual?
* Have our entertainment establishments (Hollywood & TV media) become more pure and wholesome?
* Have our family's become more together and blessed than they were in 1948?
* Have our streets and neighborhoods become more peaceful, open, and crime free?

* Has America and the Western World become more moral and God fearing?

* Are our Christian churches still the Salt & light of our nations?

Or has sin compromised the Church? With one of the major sins being our idol worship, of the Jesus rejecting state called modern Israel, causing a self-imposed curse to the Christian Church of the Western World?

6. T or F. In the Bible Jews are called God's chosen people (a chosen race) who were a special group anointed above all others on the earth.

False...... Nowhere in the Bible are Jews directly called God's chosen people where they are anointed above all others. Some Hebrews and Israelites in the Old Testament were called people chosen of God, and therefore could be considered a special anointed people, but that was prior to God calling anyone a Jew. In the book of Amos God says He chose them out of all the families of the earth. However, Amos was a prophet to the northern kingdom of Israel and God never called anyone in the northern kingdom a Jew. Therefore in Amos 3:2, where they are spoken of as a chosen people, they were not Jews.

As for the chosen race, 1 Peter 2: 9-10 clearly states who the chosen race is. It is referring to the New Covenant followers of Jesus. Moreover, after God divorces the northern Kingdom of Israel (Jer 3:8), and then judges the southern Kingdom of Judah by sending them into Babylonian captivity and ending His covenant with them, symbolized by forever removing the Arc of the Covenant, those who are then called "my people" are those who were, and were to be, spiritually redeemed by the Messiah Jesus.

7. T or F. Jesus only referred to himself as a Jew on three occasions.

False........ Jesus was referred to as a Jew by others, but nowhere in the Bible did He ever actually call himself a Jew. Moreover, throughout the Gospels Jesus refers to the Jews as if He were not part of them. One of many examples is John 13:33, where He is speaking to his disciples. He said "...and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you..."

There is only one place in the entire Bible where Jesus was directly called a Jew, and that was by the non-Jewish Samaritan woman He met at the well.

Moreover, by the Biblical era definition of a Jew, Jesus was not actually born a Jew. Jewish lineage came through the father. Even though his mother was a Jew, and legally He was a Jew because Joseph His non-biological earthly father was a Jew, his true father was not. His true father was The Holy Spirit (Mat 1:18), and, therefore, His true father was not of any fleshly lineage; Jewish or otherwise. Therefore, His true genealogy does not support Him as being a Jew. There is no clear indication as to what led the Samaritan woman to believe Jesus was a Jew, but whatever it was, she, like most others, were unaware that Jesus did not have a biological earthly father as did other men.

8. T or F. In every Biblical instance, those who opposed Jesus as the Messiah, then persecuted and attempted to kill him and destroy God's Kingdom to come, God called Jews.

True........ In every Biblical instance those who opposed, persecuted and attempted to kill Jesus were all called Jews. The only exceptions, if we can even call them exceptions, were 1) the Roman soldiers before and after Jesus received His death sentence from Pilate, and 2) Judas the betrayer. However, Pilate desperately tried to avoid giving Jesus the death sentence but the "Jews" demanded it. Moreover, the severe treatment by the soldiers was not due to their rejection of Him as the Messiah, but rather as just another criminal accused and then condemned to death (a criminal, by the way, whose only charge against him was "The King of the Jews"). Furthermore, in the Bible in 1 Thessalonians 2: 14-15, God's Word states that the Jews killed Jesus and says nothing about the Romans who actually carried out the execution.

Moreover, most American Christians consider the name Jew to be a Biblical endearing term or a sacred name, but when examined carefully scripture does not support that position. In fact, in most cases scripture shows the name Jew to be the opposite. When the actual scriptures, with the name Jew, Jews or Jewish are examined closely, the evidence points to the name Jew (in the flesh, not in the Spirit) as being closer to a derogatory name, rather than a sacred or endearing name. I know that goes against what most American Christians, myself included, had come to believe. However, when the scriptural evidence is examined carefully, and in a totally impartial manner, that is what the Biblical evidence shows............ (Note: It is important to remember that when the Bible speaks negatively about Jews it is referring to the Jews of that time period, not anyone identifying as a Jew today as there are no traceable descendants of Biblical Jews today. See Page 8)

9. T or F. God never calls anyone a Jew until the final years of the recorded Old Testament era.

True. ...... See answer to question 1.

10. T or F. Jesus is the only person in the New Testament to refer to anyone in the Old Testament as a Jew.

False. ..... In the New Testament the name Jew is never used by anyone, including Jesus, to refer to anyone who lived in the Old Testament era.

11. T or F. In the Old Testament, no person from the ten tribes of the northern Kingdom of Israel is ever called a Jew.

True. ..... The name Jew only appears in the Bible after the ten tribes of the Northern Kingdom of Israel are destroyed by Assyria and the Southern Kingdom of Judah is in Babylonian captivity. Therefore, no one in the Northern Kingdom of Israel was ever called a Jew.

12. T or F. In the Bible the religion called Judaism is of the dominion of Satan.

True...…. When Jesus spoke to Saul, in Acts 26:17-18, he put the Jews in the same category as the pagan gentiles, calling them both of the "dominion of Satan." Therefore, directly from the words of Jesus, Judaism, the religion that Saul was zealously following, was (also) of the dominion of Satan.

13. T or F. The name Judaism is not in the Old Testament, moreover, it can only be found in one place in the New Testament.

True. ..… In the entire Bible, the name Judaism can only be found in Galatians 1: 13-14 and it refers to the religion that Paul was once under, and therefore is included in what Jesus called "the dominion of Satan" (Acts 26:17-18).

14. T or F. Jewish Kings were appointed by God to build both the first and the second Temple in Jerusalem.

False. ..... The first Temple was built by King Solomon and King Solomon died hundreds of years before God began calling anyone a Jew. Therefore even though Solomon was an Israelite he was not a Jew (also see answer for question #2).

The 2nd Temple..... Ezra 1:2 records that God appointed King Cyrus, the King of Persia, to build the second Temple, and King Cyrus was not a Jew or an Israelite. Although the physical labor to build the second temple was done mostly by Jews, God appointed a Persian King, not a Jewish King, to build it.

Therefore God never appointed a Jewish King, or any Jew, to build either of the Temples.

15. T or F. In the Bible, a person's Jewish lineage was determined and carried through the father. However, today it is just the opposite, that is, Jewish lineage is determined by the mother.

True. ..... Today, unlike in the Bible (Mat 1: 1-17, Luke 3: 23-38, Acts 16: 1-3), if the mother is Jewish all of her children are Jewish.

OK, SO WHAT? WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE WHO THE JEWS OF THE BIBLE WERE!
